It would be cool but no. They don't do any trans finishes on Bongos (except the 1 off vintage burst Bongo for CLB that resides with Dave (MusicMan Nut)) because basswood just isn't pretty.
haha, its gorgeous on the SR5, but right now I have a SUB 5 so I'm just testing out new waters with the Bongo 5. If I were to get a SR5 I would def go for the pacific blue burst with matching headstock, rosewood fretboard, and HH.
Are the blue dawn bongo's considered as a limited edition?
honestly have not, you being the SR5 man around here, what PU config you would recommend. I love the SUB5's (which honestly I haven't posted a pic of yet... will do it in a couple days because I have to pack everything up and head down to Miami for a conference which I will be playing at for a week) punch, but for my next bass I want to get something that has a warm bass tone to it.
Well, I haven't gotten my HS in yet but I have played a few and I just may like it better than I do the HH. Will have to wait and see when it comes in.
Want something warm? Single H SR5 w/ piezo and flats.
