I think you all will be amazed... or atleast somewhat intrigued... or then again maybe not....

Jack's MM collection

Jack,

What year was that on on the far left? Looks real nice. I still want an old Ray like that. There's something about that old maple fretboard that I really like on those.

Those older Rays are soooo expensive to get your hands on.

I do love those natural finishes, especially with rosewood. Great photos, too! Love the 'action' shots.

Why did it take so long for you to get it?

First there were too many orders than they could process, and then there was a shortage of high-figured ash (which is the wood used on natural finished basses).

Hey SimpleGav, do you live anywhere near Newtown?? That's the only place I've been to in Wales and as for your question "pub?" ... I learned what a lock-in was my first night there. Of the two and a half weeks prior that I spent through out England and drank at pubs every day, it wasn't until I got to Wales that I got a hang over!!
Nice StingRay BTW.

cheers!:D

I have this strange feeling that your instructor's left handed... I don't know why, but I do... :D

Yes, he is left handed! :D Helps cause our necks are like 3 feet away when we are playing and I can really see what he is playing. BTW, the SR4 you are looking at is a '79. It is very odd however.

-Had 2 J pups installed in factory.
-Has a switch (not standard for SRs as far as I know!)
-Has been sanded down for curves (He couldn't stand slab... sigh)

The bass has had 2 owners. The first says the two pups were factory installed. My instructor got it with a couple of EMGs, but he installed Barts in there and rerouted the electronics a little turning the switch into an on/off switch. I have no idea what it did before. It has new tuning pegs on it installed by the previous owner as well.
