KG, from what I've heard, it is not a direct replacement since the nut is wider and deeper if memory serves me right.

You'd need to route to compansate for the new depth.

I got an Earvana on my "Tele" which was retrofitted - I'm really pleased with it.

Got the compensated nut on my new AL too.
so no excuse for bad tuning now !!;)

The retrofit one is the one with the screws on top, right?

I may break down and do it anyway. Who cares how it looks (not like it's bright orange) anyway. It's about the sound, right?

The Luke is the most comfortable guitar ever!!
I like the Chrome Knobs.... On Lukes Early versions of the Luke 2 he Had Chrome Knobs.... I always though they loooked super cool........:)
