I'm pretty sure our Sterling was a GC special. Poor girl was on the floor close to a year unloved...finally one day our salesman buddy made us an offer we couldn't refuse, so we gave her a good home. I'm glad we did, 'cause she rocks!

Did they make regular pink axis's? Before the tributes? I know it was an evh color, but did they make that color after, and before the tributes? I love the pink! They are beautiful, and the green. Has anybody seen a gold top here, or own one i hear they are the 2nd rarest to straight black.

Yes, my pink Axis is a 2009 pre-tribute and was a pretty rare sight to see...until the tributes came out. The difference being they have brown backs and mine is a black back. Mine was 1 of 50 pinks made by ebmm for a Japanese distributor. I can only assume that not that many made it back to the USA because it took me a long time to find one. I finally found her here on the forum. She wasn't for sale, but we worked out a deal.
Some begging may or may not have been involved. Okay, I begged him for it. Her name is Oinky.

It is well known the original EVH's did not hab=ve UVH blocker in the dye which is why a lot of them have faded over the years.Certain colors like Purple and Trans Black are twp that for whatever reason are more prone to fade then others. Well they only made around 60 pink ones and mine is the only one I have ever seen that has faded to an almost Salmon color. I have to take a good pic and post it as it really looks kool. You also can't complain when a close friend comes into a huge amount of scratch and offers you a nice chunk for being there when no one else was when he was down and out. But instead of the scratch I sat at a computer and let him buy me 3 guitars with the Pink EVH being one.

I have a Pink EVH that has spent its entire life in the original case. It has never been played. No nicks, no scratches. It was purchased by my late brother in the early 90’s. He purchased several of the EVH models, but kept this one for some reason. Can anyone let me know how much to ask for this guitar? Thank you for your help.
