Love the AL HH ! It is just a wonderful instrument!

And you got a sweet looking cool blue there with some

fine rosewood!

Now go wear the frets out on her.

Wait till you see what I've got up my sleeve for my HH. Its always

the quiet ones, Ha!

Very nice; I've always been a sucker for LPB going back to my pre-EBMM days. The folks in SLO have certainly done a fantastic job with the color, and that neck is just fantastically figured.

Oh, and the Y2D is a nice one as well!

That's a great color! I can just see that being perfect for a LUKE with an all rosewood neck. Looks great on the AL of course.

Oh yeah!

And yesterday I played my first live thing since 2003, guesting for Rhythm guitar + the solo in the "You Shook Me All Night Long"...

It was the yearly Queen's Birthday Party organised by the Dutch here at the air force base. There was a band with two Dutch instructors, one of the wives and two American instructors. A while back I'd discussed being part of it for this specific party but because of all the political correct rules the Americans are stuck with as far as students interacting with IPs it wasnt gonna work out.

Then the day before the party that one IP asks me if I can play the solo in AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long because he was having trouble with it. So I said euhhh I donno I can check it out? So I studied the song that night a little bit to figure it out, then the next day we rehearsed it once with the whole band and that night I joined them for that song, the second to last in their set.

Of course as expected the tempo was much higher than during the rehearsal, I couldnt hear myself play very wel and I know I screwed up some solo parts, but of course the only person who really really notices that is me and everybody I talked to after was very enthusiastic. Most importantly though I had a ton of fun doing that, it was awesome!!!

Of course just trying it again a few times today I already came up with a much cooler solo, but hey thats life. Whole thing was videod and audio recorded from the mixing board so it'll be fun to disect all my mistakes once I get hold of that stuff. I probably wont dare to post it here hahah

Anyway, during the show I was wearing pretty much all orange (Dutch national colour), not sure yet if theres any good pictures, it was pretty dark. But here's a pretty cool pic of me with the AL during that one rehearsal
