If I'm not mistaken, I believe he's referring to your footwear, which I also noticed because I used to wear those all the time too when I lived in Hawaii (where they were called "slippers" - everyone on the mainland calls them "flip-flops")! What are they called in PR?

I'd wear them here in NYC if there weren't so many dangerous ways to mess your feet up!
