the ones i have are mostly 2 pieces. some of the translucent ones are in one piece..

you could remove the neck and see if there is a joint running down the centre of the pocket.. if that made some sense for you :)

Yeah, I have Burst color, but even today I can't discover is it one, or two piecer!

That's the proof that people in the EBMM company take care to match the wooden pieces as better as possible!

Anyway, it shouldn't affect to the sound, well, ...mostly!

Actually I was curious about something along these lines, I just picked up a 2000 fretless SR4 in natural. Even with the natural finish you have to look close to see where the pieces come together. I have a 3 piece body but I noticed where the pieces come together there's a nifty tongue and groove type set up, is this very common in guitar manufacture or is this EBMM paying more attention to the little details than the other guys?

I ask that question, because looking with atention trough the black finish i can see two lines. That say my SR5 have a 3 pieces body.

Thank you!!!

My Sterling Ray35 is a 3 piece body. It is astonishingly well done though, to the point that I thought it was a bit of a crap, off centre 2 piece for ages....! :D
