Hey guys! I have been lurking around these forums for a while now and decided it was time for me to join this community since i got a brand new EBMM JPX comming next week :D

I got one question though, i have been googling and searching around for the best option to connect the mag and piezo pickups to a guitar amp. I cant run it through a accoustic amp or a PA since i dont have any of those option available right now. As far as i understand both options are available if you use a stereo jack in the stereo output of the guitar to the amp, or you can run a stereo cable that splits into two mono cables. If i were to go for option two, can i then use the two mono cables in my guitar and the stereo jack into the amplifiers jack?

I have to apologize if my english is bad :)

If you're NOT going to use two different amps, you might as well just use one mono cable from the piezo out on the guitar and run it into the amp like normal. Then you still have the ability to switch between the magnetic and piezo pickups without worrying about a stereo cable. JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE THE PIEZO OUTPUT ON THE GUITAR. As the other output only works the magnetic pickups. The one labeled 'piezo out' actually works both. And. . . . ENJOY THAT JPX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, i thought the piezo output only sent the piezo signal like the magnetic output only sends out the magnetic signal if used with a mono cable. Thank you so much for clarifying this!

guitar cable to amp rig.
wireless from piezo output direct to PA/powered monitor.

others will tell you different:cool:

wireless is the only way to go. No ground loop/splitters/etc... No tone loss either, signal is already preamp-ed.

Wireless might be an option for me as it would be nice to have one less cable lying on the floor to worry about. Btw anyone here got a nice suggestion for a monitor (around 300-500$),and would i need something like a Radial DI box to get it to work properly?
