how guys ive playing around with the guitar all morning.. and i was just wondering how do you guys set the eq on the back, mix, low, high, any examples or suggestions will help, thanks.
The mix only affects the mono (top) jack. I usually leave my settings at the factory 70%. Once in a while I turn the bass down ever so slightly, to the center detent.
I found that I had to lower the bass a bit from the factory setting, as it boomed too much through the band's subwoofers, but left the treble fairly flat. The output of the EBMM piezo is significantly hotter than the one on the Godin guitar I had been using, so I had to scale back on the output pot quite a bit as well to keep the same gain and slider settings on the mixer. Sending the piezo through an amp might be significantly different however- I just send my magnetic pickups to the input of a Boss Gt-10, then run the piezo into the effects return at an insert point past the preamps, distortions and volume pedal, but before the wet effects. I then send the blended signal in stereo in to the PA , controlling the piezo volume from the guitar.
yeah right now im just using the top jack mono.. and the piezo signal is a lot hotter than the pickups. i guess i'll have to experiment today with those settings.
