I'm having trouble trying to completely separate the outputs on my JP6 (and JP7) BFR's.
I thought I could take the piezo output (mono cable) to a DI box, and into the mixing board / PA, and take the MAG output (mono cable) thru my pedals, etc... into my amp.

I want to be able to flip the switch, up to the piezo mode, and ONLY have piezo thru the DI / mixer / PA.

Flip the switch down, and be in MAG mode, thru my amp.

In theory, I guess that's how they are all supposed to work.

My PROBLEM is this:
In PIEZO mode, (switch UP) the sound not only comes out of the PA, but somehow, is STILL (very lightly) routed thru the mag output too. If I kill the mixer / PA volume, i can still hear the piezo thru my amp too.
(and since the amp is still on a dirty channel, i get a semi-distorted piezo).

(I've made sure on all 3 BFR's the switch is UP and not in the middle)

Am I using the wrong cables? Do I need to only use stereo cable and split it from mag output?

Equip:
BFR 6 (2)
BFR 7
(same trouble on all 3 guitars)
Mark V combo amp.
My DI box is a BBE DI1000, (active), ground lifted, and xlr to mixer.
Carvin mixer,
QSC rmx amp
Monster cables.

Any ideas on how to kill the piezo thru the amp and only have it thru the
DI box / PA when the switch is up???
Thanks!!!
Bob

I don't know, I'm using the Piezo on my ASS in the excat same way Cable from second output to PA and Cable fron main output to amp

I'm using mono cable and never noticed any issue. I would check the cable cause if you have that on 3 guitars it can not be a fault or maybe that's the way Petrucci guitars work but I dont think so

Contact Customer Service they can surely help you I think

It's possiblr to get some bleed into your mag chain. It's happened to me on occasion.
