I know this has probably been asked before but: Is there anyway to get use of the Piezo through one amp (even if it won't sound as good as using a separate amp for the Piezo)?

I just want to make sure the Piezo on the '05 Pet I got yesterday is working.

If the battery is dead, will there be any sound at all?

Thanks.

Hi Dave,

to check the piezo plug the cable to the upper input (the one closest strap) and just swtich to the piezo with the switch on the upper horn. It will be in the upper position,

Thanks Philip. I just read the FAQ as well. I did exactly what you explained last night. I only noticed a slight tonal change I guess because I was running through a Recto Patch on my Tonelab. I'll try plugging it into the clean channel on one of my amps.

Cud,

Don't judge the piezo when used thru your normal rig. I wasn't crazy about the sound of it until I ran it through a PA system. It sounds great on a full range system, but onlly so-so (IMHO) through a guitar amp.

Of course, I haven't used it with an acoustic amp yet, but I believe that would sound great based on what other forumites have posted.

Thanks Steve. I've heard that before. I do have a direct box and can try running Piezo->DI->Mic Preamp->soundcard->PC.

It does sound great through an acoustic amp!! But of course even better through a full PA. I had once an opportunity to try that at Worship in my church. When I hooked it up the acoustic guy was blown away that it sounded so real (with the church natural reverb it was just pure awesomness)
