My pleasure ... I had hoped to get it home one way or another ;)

Good question ... I'll have to have at the Y2D for a while first. I did love the Rosewood Axis at the open house ... that one with a piezo would be nice ... then again, another Luke would be great too ... :D
Have you considered a Silo? I have heard good things.

Cranking from my amp so loud that all the cats and dogs in the neighborhood just ran away in fear! The next door neighbor got pregnant and the weather channel noticed something too!
SILOs RAWK!!

isn't the piezo stereo?

I plan on selling my Adamas and using the PET for worship music.

And you can't use an acoustic pedal AND get the magnetic sound together which is unreal.

Danny,

The piezo is not stereo. A stereo jack on piezo-equipped guitars can be used to send both magnetic and piezo signals from the guitar over one cable. You would then use a splitter box on the other end of the stereo cable to separate the mono magentic and piezo signals.

Why, the Ernie Ball 6190 splitter box, of course!

No apologies necessary. And certainly not to me. Yes I do get worked up about these things. I know I am overly so but it's just what I do. Thank you anyway.
But man isn't the piezo a way cool thing. I love playing mine in public and Petrucci's sounded FANTASTIC on the DT tour.
Does Luke or Albert ever use the piezo on their guitars when performing?
I do recall BP did say 30th anniversary (not necessarily related to the silo mind you) on two occasions. Once at the OH and one of them is here on the forum somewhere. I think BP is mad at me (again). I still want 2 of them. (guitars, not BP's anger)

Danny,

Any good TRS cable will do for the run from the guitar to the splitter. Since a TRS cable is balanced, you could probably get away with one longer than 20' if absolutely necessary without picking up too much hum. But as always with cables, the shorter the better.

Then, you need two normal 1/4" mono cables from the splitter box output jacks to the respective signal paths for the magnetic pickups and the piezo.

I have my homemade HSH strat which kinda fills the bill - but I do love the silo spec, so I still think about getting another one ... !

For what it's worth, I asked the same Q on the forum "Do I need a piezo?"
This option is big bucks in the UK.

I placed my AL order last weekend after hearing what a great sound the piezo gave through an acoustic amp - it was soooooooooo noticable.

I say get one 'cos you might regret it if ya don't - after all whats a few more $x00 in the scheme of things.

I think we ought to ask big poppa to give his men some overtime so that our waiting time of 4 months can be reduced !!!!
