Hi guys !

If anyone has an EBMM JP6/JP7 guitar with a piezo and had the same trouble or know the answer, just say it here.

Today when I wanted to play guitar with the piezo, I realised that my 7th string (low B) made no sound. The other strings sound alright throught the amp, but it seems that the 7th string is muted. Maybe there's a line connection that failed in the guitar...I really don't know how the piezo system works. :(

I can't go to the music shop til this weekend, so any tips/suggestions would be useful !

Thanks

Fred

Thanks Derek for the reply.

The problem is that I live in Canada, it will cost me some money to call you (but that, I don't really mind...) but the major problem is that I'm french and I don't think I will be able to understand the technical terms and stuff. I can write/read english well, but speaking and understanding is another thing:(

Hunter,

I had a similar problem from time to time with the Fishman Powerbridge I put on my tele a fews years ago. The Low E string would cut out, and the rest of the strings would sound fine.

I discovered that the angle that the string touches the piezo crystal is very important. I had to set the low E saddle at a certain height and distance to get a consistent piezo signal on the low E. This has forced me to live with some small compromises with intonation and action.

I imagine that a piezo-equipped tremelo system could give you similar problems.

You're right my friend, this was the problem. The 7th string didnt touch the piezo, so that's why it didnt sound.

It's fixed now:cool:
