Hello

Please let us know if your situation still exists regarding your transactions for Dargie Delights.

It is my understanding that Rex has prepaid his dealer and we dont show that bass as ever been ordered. I understand that Lisa has recieved a red bongo instead of the Dargie.

We are at the tail end of a bad situation and am trying to figure out just where everyone affected is standing.

As it stands we have recieved zero of your money. It has been kept by your dealer. You may have legal recourse both criminal and civil. I am not a lawyer but would encourage you to see just where you stand legally.

Is there anyone else out there that has prepaid orders outstanding?

Get back to me and I will see how we can resolve this problem.

BP, I've been in email contact with Lisa and alerted her that you're trying to get in contact. Her computer is currently down and it appears she's scrambling a bit.

Thank you for your call, Sterling. My hard drive is taking (has taken) a dive and I finally got it to boot up. I am, of course, backing up like mad. As you can imagine, I don't have much time to check e-mails or the forums.

The situation is as we discussed on the phone. I am at a loss for words that I would want to put on a public forum. I have notified my dealer of the solution that I will accept, which is for you to get paid for my Dargie Single H Bongo. As I told my dealer, I will call Scott tomorrow morning to see if payment has been made. I will take the appropriate actions if that does not happen.

Thank you for your time and consideration. It means a lot that you have reached out to talk this over with me. I appreciate the time and energy you've spent. It will not be forgotten.

I'm Famous for Pre Paying everything I Order, But after watching this it sure makes you think,
This could happen, or the store could go bankrupt. Lesson's we all learn. I hope it all turns out well for THE HONEST GUY.

Fair enough,

In watching this whole episode I was taking the don't piss off your waiter until after you get your food theory. My past record of poorly selecting dealers makes me want to assume a role of anonymity when ordering.

The last two times that you have known when I have ordered guitars were really stressful for me. All I wanted to do was buy a guitar.

I thought that if you saw my name on an order sheet that it just wouldn't help matters. Hopefully you can understand my point of view in that choice I made.

I have no contract with you. I have no expectation of you on this matter. I really think it's nice of you to help Rex and Lisa.
I also thought it was brilliant to try to communicate with Dude via the forum. Your insight on how that fell apart was just a little quicker than mine.
If you would like to try that with me sometime I'd be game for it. (We could call it "Sidebar your Honor") :)

You have rattled my cage for way too long. You keep pokn the bear. You dont get it. You want to out wit me and show everyone how smart you have been. You cant handle it. Why you seem to think that it helps you with our team is beyond me. Your constant editing of others quotes to embarrass has had my team biting their tongues for years. Not one employee has stood up for you in making this decision.

To insinuate that we would intentionally make something inferior because it is for you is insulting. You were unrealistic on the Y2D and yet we made you happy.

I have been around a long time and have accomplished a fair amount and have stories to tell....(ok repeat) I dont understand why someone like you would not show one ounce of respect for someone that has co created all of your favorite tools......

Now Im supposed to help you. Why? How? Seems that if I needed something from someone and I had continually pissed off that someone I wouldnt request a side bar.
That is really presumtious......If it were me I may start with some crow eating and see where that leads you. Maybe an apology.....

Good, If you're cool to continue this then so am I.
I'll start with Thank You!
Bit by Bit
The Y2D,
I think you are referring to it's warranty work.
I was hesitant about sending it back the 2nd time. Really, Customer Service was really incredible on this. I told them if they said it was right that I would keep it and love it.
I still have the pictures. I'll share them if you want. I was amazed at how CS bent over backwards. Never once mentioned it on the forum. I do love the guitar though.

You did once say "just think how good your guitar would be if I liked your dealer" or something like that.
Whatever, I knew you were joking. Or at worst just trying to get my gander up. It's what we do.
Still, with you and yours dislike of my antics I just thought it best that my name not be tied to it. I know you would NEVER intentionally make something inferior because it is for me or dude or joe no-one cause that just not the way you do things. That would be worse than a Meth habit;)
Never meant to imply that but I see how you could have thought that.
Fair enough; I apologize

Norm if you know that your admitted "antics" were not well rec'd, why continue? The problem is that you thought that it only got under my skin. it got under everyones skin here. Now your antics have bit you in the ass.

I come back to why would you want to alienate me? WHy do you think that you can outwit me on my own playground. Im not a rocket scientist but you cannot go toe to toe with me on any level. I can beat you with my b game.

Norm you were a pest and a jerk with the Y2d. To show our level of commitment regardless of how WE feel personally about the particular customer we bent over backwards.

Norm you got one dealer axed, this one has three paws in the casket.....You are out a deposit and I could help you.....

Can you post here and be a nice person? Can you go a month without trying to embarrass me or my team? Can you resist twisting others words?...Can you not post an insult in white type? Let me know there may be hope.

Guys just to let you know what I've been dealing with here is yesterdays correspondence.
On the pit this morning I am back to being called Blowhard...He intimates that I was involved in the hacking of the pit. Its a good thing he is on contact with awyers becaseu I just sicced mine on him.

Good Morning Gentlemen,

I do hereby admit complete and utter surrender. There really is a guitar player by the name of Jerry Nighan though. I grew up with him and he's the one who handed me my fiirst bass when we put a garage band together at the age of 13. Jack, do you remember me talking about my "fat lady"? Well, Norm was it. So how'd you know? He lost faith in me huh? Oh well, he's in good company as I sit here and watch the mass exedous off the Pit which I may as well shut down rather than throw any good money after bad in a remodel/update. The fact of the mattter is I haven't used in months. It's just the hole I dug was too deep to crawl out off

If you will please drop ship the instrument to Norm I will give you a viable credit card that you can run to pay for it. Just email me back a total including shipping please.

I lay myself across the tracks and ask that you do so just because Norm is a really good guy despite his jabs at you on the forum and I don't think there are many bigger fans of EBMM guitars out there than he is. I really don't. Norm missed out on two instruments he was intending to buy from me earlier this year that never shipped to me due to our sitiation, one of the two 20th Silos and one of the two lined fretless 30th Rays. Now he didn't have a deposit down on either of those so I don't feel all that bad about those but he is paid in full on this Albert Lee.

We were so close and he lost faith as have so many through all of this mess but the fact remains that the only person to have been hurt in all of this mess is me and I have no one else to blame but myself. Thank you for your efforts to to help me rectify the situation Sterling and while I may not agree with your methods, I do know your intent was pure and well meaning.

Norm's shipping address is as follows:

xxxxxxxd.
# 123xxxxxxxxTucson, AZ 85712
@yahoo.com
xxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xx

Parting words:

1)Blow Hard and Blow Harder are references to Jason K. and Darrin H. who were on the Pit the other day and here tossing zingers about "missing posts" on The pit...remember? Now the hack that occured just so happens to revolves around???Yup, you guessed it...missing posts!!Coincidence?? Perhaps but in any event, I am not referencing you when I use those words Sterling so relax. Not everything I do or say revolves around you but my lines is open should you wish to have your attorney get in touch with mine.

2)Rex is taken care of and happy with his dealings with me and VBTC. Don't believe me? Ask him. Please cancel my order for his bass which I placed on 8/28/06 but your production delays are simply unacceptable.

3) MikeP. has decided to apply his money towards another bass made by another manufacturer I represent and is happy with his dealings with me and VBTC. Don't believe me? Ask him. Cancel my order for his bass which I placed on 8/28/06 but your production delays are simply unacceptable.

4) Norm filed a dispute with PayPal at 1:31am this morning and a hold has been placed on my account for the full amout he has paid me and I will follow the PalPal procedures to the letter but please accept my apologies and cancel my order of the Dargie Albert Lee and do with it as you wish. I would think it would fetch a fine price at auction for the CLBF and I'll be happy to refer you to one of my clients in Mississippi (Jack should also have info) who would probably pay you at a minimum full retail price for it.

5) Lisa is just one of those people who is never going to be satisfied in my opinion so I refuse to play her game. Not only did I allow Jack to sell her my personal Dargie Sterling HS at an above average discount, she agreed to accept a Candy Apple Red Bongo5H in lieu of the Dargie Bongo 4 which I shipped to her and then refuses to abide by my published return policy as posted on the VBTC website now for years and attempts to hold the bass ransom until I agree to whatever scheme you (Sterling) and her concocted on the telephone yesterday without consulting me. Case closed, she accepted delivery of the CAR Bongo 5H which I only agreed to send to her "In Lieu of the DD Bongo 4H" in writing and then refuses to abide by my very publicly posted return policy and also has been calling or emailing other VBTC customers in an attempt to tarnish my reputation and solicit support for her position and also been calling me at my home before and after my posted business hours harassing me. I am sorry but I consider the matter closed and she is free to persue and legal means of recourse she wishes at this point but I will not deal with her in any way shape or form from this point forward. The two of you can continue discussing the matter without me and since you saw fit to leave me out of any discussions and or negotioations you can feel equally free to leave me out of any resolutions!

6) You "called me out" yesterday afternoon in some sort of childish manor here on your board and then sent me a private email to"check out the bass forum" and gave me a link to the thread and I promtly regsistered here on your forum after being banned under my old user name only to find you nowhere to be found. I waited more than a reasonable time after one of your employees (Kevin) knew I was here and you never showed back up until after I left only to post a one sided, highly subjective "conclusion" to the matter the locked down the thread thus preventing me from posting my side of the situation which was the reported purpose of your "call out". I'd like to publicly recordthat I was willing, ready and able to discuss the matter with you on your ground, on your terms and on your schedule and you chose not to show up. The next time you call me out you be there!

Good day and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers!!

Folks, in all sincerity, if you've never seen a professional con artist at work, now is the time to pay attention. They are intelligent and able to shrug off any and all accusations with aplomb, and attempt to generate sympathy with manufactured yet persuasive alibis. Note how the emails and the public posts show two very different mindsets: one placating, one confrontational. Do not be misled.

This game of semantics is an attempt to mitigate legal repercussions on the part of one party.

Im glad everyones is happy and that we are done. Good luck in the future. My production delays have nothing to do with a meth head cancelling orders.

Please leave and do not post here again.

Facts are facts folks...no orders were cancelled until this thread folks and I'd be very happy to see Biff post up any documentation showing where I did cancel the orders. Believe what you want to believe. I really don't give a ****. I'm just very relieved to be done dealing with an egomaniac with an obvious inferiority complex. Nobody likes a sucker puncher, or a snitch for that matter either.

I am leaving and will never return but you remember two things junior:

1) You called me and asked me to become a dealer.

2) You emailed me yesterday and asked me in writing to reregister so we could talk it out.

See ya round the playground there Biffster!! ROTFL
