I have to follow the crowd and say Big Al as well....I'll bet it's some crazy one off like the Michael Rhodes Big Al (My personal fave so far.)

...Or the white Bongo that WAS listed in GFS.

Some wonderfully inspired guesses, and I wish I had the POWER some of you ascribe to me!

But no, it's not a Big Al 5 or some crazy prototype thingy.

I'm in Mississippi, visiting family and eating exceptionally well, but when I get back to Camp Bovine, here is what I will receive shortly afterward:

Interesting in that I've never even fondled a Sterling 5.

Life is good.

I had guessed Sterling 5 single H

Well, I was one "pickup" short of being right. Story of my life... :(

Jack,

You are going to be so "fond" of the Sterling 5. Fondle immediately!

Yet another Sterling 5 convert; YES! (This is where you politely re-read my signature.)

Does the Sterling's shape look good as a 5-string OR WHAT!?
There's just something about seeing 5-strings on that narrower body. Mmm...mmm...mmm...

Remember what two EBMM basses Mr. Friedland bought?

Oh, by the way, that is lovely, sir!

That indeed is an interesting twist.... can we now place our beds how long it will last until you flip it? I say six months maximum ;) -- hey, as good as it might be, it's not a Bongo!

A Sterling 5 HH is exactly what is needed in your arsenal of Weapons of Sonic Destruction.

I envy you Jack, you know that? (Can I call you Jack? My real name is Peter by the way).

Denver area.
Transmitting from a hotel in Tulsa, on the way to Alabama. I gotta admit, when I saw the guess or 2 for a Sterling 5, I thought "not likely" ... I smell Ed Friedland's influence here ... =)

VERY nice. Merry Christmas!
