Just got back from Indianapolis. The GC there did in fact have a 30th (the first one sold right away, and they got another).

It's effin gorgeous. A bit on the heavy side, as I'd expected...mahogany, of course.

Sounded fantastic, played incredibly.

If I were a 4-string guy, I might have bought it on the spot.

Do yourself a favor and go find one of these to check out.

It seems that one has to wait for 20 years to go by before EBMM will make an anniversary model.

The Bongo's 20th will be in 2023, and I'll be...um....64 years old! AAAGH! I can't wait that long!

It sounds like a Steinway grand piano? That's not what I'm looking for in a bass, hehe:D
I know what he means, but it's a bit nonsensical.;)
What is an ash-bodied 'Ray then? A Bösendorfer?:)

My 30th Anniv SR arrived yesterday (thanks Steve and Jack). It is beautiful. No buzzing anywhere. Absolutely wonderful. I haven't had a chance to really give it work out yet but hopefully today . . .:D
