...the location of the pickup selector switch. :( I must have hit that thing a dozen times while playing. Also, when I'm fast alt. picking, the switch is right where I like to place the fingers of my picking hand. My left (fretting) hand felt like it was in heaven-very comfortable!

I understand that this is a signature guitar, and that's where J.P. wants the switch. But if that switch wasn't in my way, I may have left the store with that guitar. FWIW, It was a great looking Ruby Red Burst.

Oh well, I may keep an eye open for a used one, then X-nay the tone control (which I never use) and put the pickup switch there.

It's a signature guitar so yeah...it's a technical thing that JP wants.

For me, the JP models are some of the only modern style guitars I can play because of the placement of the volume knobs. My picking hand will knock into the volume knob on almost any other guitar...this is the same reason why all of JP's guitars move the volume knob away from the bridge humbucker. How do you think that feels? lol.

You could find the Majesty alleviates that issue you're having; the selector is recessed. Granted, it's a totally different guitar aesthetically speaking.
