I should be getting to try out an AL with the three single coils on the 20th so I will try to get something up that night. I will do the side by side test using my AL and Keith's AL

Yep, measuring DC resistance is just not a useful way to describe a pickup. There's a lot more to how they react. Not to mention that measuring DC resistance itself is a subjective measurement. (How hard do you hit the pickup? What frequency is the note you're playing? Etc.)
