last night at band practice i realized just how much i love my ball. this 15 year old kid was there with his W@shburn, and i dont know if it was just that guitar, or the strings, but it felt like a bag of ass to me. and i laughed when he said he hadn't heard of music man. oh well, i just sure am glad i have mine. anything like this ever happened to any of you?

An old guitar playin' buddy of mine came over the other night, it was the first time he had been to my place since we had moved..(almost 4 yrs)...

Anyway, we went down to my guitar room and he saw my EVHs, and he's like, "why 3?"

I told him to try one...so hi did...and he was like, wow these are nice guitars!

And i told him...that's why i have 3!!!

My wife says: "Why do you need 8 guitars, you can only play them one at a time?" :D

Reality is - I only play two of them - An EBMM and a Martin, the rest just live in their cases.

I went over a buddy's house to play a couple of weeks ago. He has two custom shop Fenders - A Strat and a Tele. Both with premium woods, bird's eye necks and gold hardware and all pimped up. Nice looking, but they didn't do much for me playing. They felt the same as my cheap 1985 Japanese Strat.

Now if only EBMM made a twelve string . . .

At guitar lessons l took my EBMM Luke, and my guitar teacher said, "you have one of the Lukes, l used to have one of them" and he picked it up, and played it, and he said "man these guitars play themselves, l have to go get one" so he's on the market for a Luke now. :D

I have several different guitars and love them all for various reasons. They are like children: each has their own positives and negatives but I love them for what they are.

Having said that, my EVH is always a pleasure to play. The feel and tone are almost always just dead on.

Walking through guitar shops, I RARELY pick up any guitar that I like as much as the guitars I already own. On some level, that probably says more about me and my tastes than it does aobut the guitars.

perfect answere, man! :D :D :D

to topic:

when i visit some friends who also play guitar (but they don´t own EBMMs!), i don´t wanna play any of their guitars. they have nice guitars like gibson les paul custom oder 7ender richie sambora sign. and things like that, but i always wanna play my EBMMs.
even when i pickup e.g. the LPC, i play it a few minutes and then i get this strange feeling inside of me to put it away and i wanna play a ball than.
so when i get home i immediatly pickup one of my balls, play it and yes - it feels like being at home again. ;)

the same is when i visit my prefered guitardealer, i only play on the EBMMs.
sometimes a new ibz oder 7ender or something like that, but only a few minutes.
after that i go upstairs, where the balls are and play half an hour on the JP or the silo........

is this the sign for: addiction? ;) :D

I love the "can I borrow our guitar" at the jam sessions i go to in the summer (back in the UK then).

My EVH just rocks the rest away.

Playing other guitars can be a bit wierd...just goes to show how attached you get to quality with an ebmm.

yeah. most guitars feel like garbage to me aside from my MM's. I still own a lot of other guitars - which I take out of the case from time to time and play around with - but the only ones I really PLAY are the balls. they feel more like real "instruments" than just "guitars"

Im a bass player and I even see myself owning an EBMM guitar in the future, just because i fully support this company and id like to have a nice guitar around to doodle around on, and for friends to use when they come over empty handed. EBMM > everything. :)

Been on a string quest of late (have very acidic sweat and keep rusting them). I got some DR Black Beauties (sorry EB) and love em.
Anyway, my guitar teacher commented so I said "here have a feel" so he played my Axis. "Damn this thing is awesome, LOVE the neck" was his reply ;) And he has a degree in music etc.
