I added this to my sig but I have been getting swamped with friend requests on facebook....Please Im here morning noon and night THat should be enough

With all due respect BP, you are a very nice chap and an inspiration to some of us, but as you've said, there's enough of you in this forum that would be pointless to add you as a friend on facebook.

Facebook is actually more trouble than it's worth and I refrain from even adding extended family members to my profile for a quiet life, particularly work collegues, they are a definite no no in my book

I wasn't one of those who tried to add you as a friend from this forum but I pity those who tried. Sorry guys but there is a definite divide between peoples' private life and that on the outside world. And when Sterling Ball is at home he is just a family man same as me and you, and no one else belong in their close circle unless they want you to belong.

magnus....What ever makes you ahppy...but just like MySpace these guys are adding you as friend s for commercial benefit...I remember that crazy dealer in arizona that had a web site that actually thought he was talking to quincy jones on his my space.....he was on first name basis with all of the top porn stars too.

There are privacy settings available in Facebook to set who can even see your account. It's fairly easy to make yourself invisible to people you don't want to see you.

BP is a friend to all of us here, he does alot for us and this forum, that he really doesnt HAVE to do. Facebook is more for close family, and close friends - most of us veteran knuckleheads know to not send BP pm's and Facebook requests..... but for the new guys, please respect his privacy.

I replied to Grand Wazoo, because i felt that using fb with just the immediate family turned it into a waste of time...

But the last scentence, of course it's business for some people, people whom I am fb friends with out of respect. The way they run their fb pages mean it's meaningful for me to be fb friends with them, getting news on what's up and stuff.
Some people start fan pages or band pages, others use their personal pages, it's all good and I'm fine with whatever business model they choose to apply to fb, myspace or whatever public social network one might be using.
