Cristian, first of welcome. Maybe you could tells us more about your needs for example what kind of music do you play? What gear do you currently have? Do you play a 4 or 5 string? These kind of things will gives the boys an idea on what to suggest. The Bongo is an incredible instrument also make sure you check out the Sterling.

I don't see how this is really "URGENT." :) Really they are both great basses, but you will have to decide for youself. I personally prefer the Stingray; its a classic!

Well... I was looking for a 5-string bass, and I found a Bongo in a music store here in São Paulo... At first I wasn't hooked with its appearance, specially its weird shape :D, but after I plugged it... WOW, what a sound!

Unfortunately, the 5-string Bongo was waay beyond my price range, so I came home with a StingRay 5! That was my first MM bass, and now I'm saving for a Bongo!

Cristian, from what you have told us, I believe you'd be happy with either of these fine basses. Both sound great and are built to high quality standards. Honestly, since you don't have access to play them yourself, you'd probably be better off choosing the one that you think looks best. The SR has more of the classic shape, while the Bongo is a modern design. Either way, you really can't go wrong in your decision.
