Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday and the whole family will take turns keeping parents company through that and for about a week. This is surreal - we've never had to deal with this before. I guess I thought of them as superhuman and never needed help.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I told my mom I had people from around the world (you guys) praying for her and she lost her composure - she really appreciates it.

Positive thoughts coming your way for you and and your family. Funny how we all seem to view our parents as "superhuman". Must be due to them always taking care of us? Nice that she has a child like you who knows when to step up. Best I got going to you and yours.

Shakin, my wife and I were just there a few months ago. We are also still continuing to pray for you guys. Contact me if you need anything. My wife also had the very fast growing cancer and had to have a mastectomy in May. I'm not sure where you are at but if she is going to have re-constructive surgery, have her look into doing it at the same time as the mastectomy. Hind sight being what it is now, and my wife wishes she would have done it that way then but at the time was so concerned with just getting it removed and the cancer out of her that she wasn't even thinking about that other stuff.
