Shakin, my wife and I were just there a few months ago. We are also still continuing to pray for you guys. Contact me if you need anything. My wife also had the very fast growing cancer and had to have a mastectomy in May. I'm not sure where you are at but if she is going to have re-constructive surgery, have her look into doing it at the same time as the mastectomy. Hind sight being what it is now, and my wife wishes she would have done it that way then but at the time was so concerned with just getting it removed and the cancer out of her that she wasn't even thinking about that other stuff. Again, if you or your family have any questions, please call us. I can pm you by number.
Jay

Thanks so much Jay Dawg

Surgery is tomorrow

Mom's a bit scared (understandably) but she's ok

We had some good news. The lumps they found in the other (I can't bring myself to say it...) breast were benign.

The removal of the cancer is tomorrow morning 10-11 CA time

Thanks to all for the prayers, positive thoughts and support. It means a lot to my family and I

Shakin, Your Mom will probably be in the hospital 3 or 4 days after the surgery. Again, we are praying for her. Also, what part of Cali are you in? I am from San Diego and have tons of fellow pastor friends all over that State. If you guys need any type of pastoral visit or even food brought to you all, let me know where you are at and I will make it happen!

Just spoke with my mom in the hospital. She's doing really well and wouldn't mind staying longer in the hospital since she feels so well cared for :)

I'm going down tomorrow to help out and (hopefully) get her out of the hospital.

We're in Northern CA JayDawg. Thanks for the offer but I think we'll be ok food wise. I'll see how things really are tomorrow (reports are my dad is the one who needs the kids to take care of him - he's lost without my mom apparently) Thanks for the generous offer but most of all the prayers.

All the very best for your Mum. My Mother in law had her left breast removed about 8 years ago, & this November celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary.

Update and Appreciation

My mom is doing much better after seeing the doctor a few days ago.

Nine of her lymph nodes were removed and analyzed for cancer. If you aren't familiar, if cancer hits the lymph nodes it is bad news - basically the cancer can spread very fast to other organs at that point. We got 8 of the 9 tests back and *they were all negative for cancer*!!!!

We're anxiously awaiting the results of the last analyxis but no radiation therapy is needed for sure!

My mom was a different (stronger) person walking out of that doctors appointment with me that day. My whole family was elated.

Thanks everyone for your continued prayers and support. We're not out of the woods yet but I wanted to share this victory.

Play some loud low notes in celebration... I know I have been :D

My prayers go out to your Mom. I am a 2 time survivor of cancer. Working in the medical field as I do, it is amazing the technology out there now. My life has been saved by it. Tell her to never give up. Always have goals after treatments, and celebrate even small victories. Every day is a celebration. Family support is ever so crucial, and I can tell she is already getting a ton of that. After my last bout and final confirmation of success I celebrated with two things, a new Tat (a Celtic knot in green on my arm for my continuation of life) and my BFR Sterling. I know she will join all the rest of us out here who have kicked the big C's A**!!!!!!!! John
