A PLEK is a machine that facilitates fret jobs and nut cutting with even the most troublesome piece of wood. Suhr uses one in his shop now (hes one of the only builders doing this) and it makes an already perfect fret job that much more. It simulates having a neck under fully stringed pressure to level frets and cut nut slots perfectly. Mucho expensive to boot which is why no one's using them much. I think Heritage has one now too.

HAHAHAHA! I still need to find away to make a living off what I know. Which is more setup in the realm of actual gear, I wish I could pick Jongitarz' brain sometime and take some repair lessons, my setups aren't bad but I'm talking about the leveling and all that jazz....it's good stuff to know.

All my guitars have been plek'd by Charlie Chandler in his new shop in Kew, and they all play superbly! Esentially its a fancy fret dress, but its really effective and makes a perfect EBMM more perfect if thats possible!

I haven't been that far back in the threads - and could swear that I picked it up off the "front page".
The forum page is acting a bit strange - My settings showed all the times earlier on at GMT -9 now it's showing GMT +1. There are other issues ofwhich I am in PM with CodeMonkey.
Earlier on today it must have been GMT - 13140 (Year and a half!)

Wechter Guitars here in Paw Paw, MI (the guy that built my acoustic) just bought one of those machines. I guess it came from Germany...very expensive Abe Wechter said!! He also said that the machine is awesome!
