Very cool... I think I need to sit in on your next practice session to learn a few things :):D:cool:

I don't believe there is much to learn from me.

Actually I was hoping to get some feedback from the more experienced cats here since I am relatively new to music without heavily distorted guitars and screaming. ;-)

Here's a VERY rough scratch track of our original song "Retrospectacles". I'm playing my new to me Sterling HH. GK 800RB into Pro Tools. GK EQ set flat. Bass in position 2 with slight mid and bass boost. I like the tone I'm getting for this song....may go with it when we lay down the real stuff.

Obviously try and listen with headphones.

Here's another with position 2 and the Sterling. Same EQ settings:

Here's the holy mother building destroyer position 1. GK EQ flat, bass flat. Like I said, these are rough and there is some cursing.

I recorded every song on our soon to be released album with my sterling and markbass rig, but it's not done yet so can't show it off at this point. I do have some covers on youtube with my sterling you can check out though.

Stone Temple Pilots - Plush Bass Cover - YouTube

Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song Bass Cover - YouTube

Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin On A Hole In A Papper Heart Bass Cover - YouTube

The Clash - Rock The Casbah Bass Cover - YouTube

RHCP - Higher Ground Bass Cover - YouTube

RHCP - Desecration Smile Bass Cover - YouTube

BTW I started getting a lot more compliments on my tone once i got my MM Sterling.

Great growl, very nice!!!!!

killer sounds Dave..........them Sterlings freakin' wail eh?........awesome man

just friended you on youtube too dude

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. The Sterling definitely sounds awesome. I wish i could really let it growl like it wants to, but i have to back off the lows a bit to prevent clipping since i have a really simple recording setup. The tone we got in the studio with it is face melting, like Raiders of the lost ark face melting... :)
