You guys, from both sides of the fence, are just awesome. (The exception being Raz, who thought it was comic genius to give me a recipe for buttercream...you jacka**. :p)

I asked you to vote your conscience, and without taking me into consideration (keith the exception, more in a moment), and you came through with flying colors. While i was honestly disheartened at some of the replies to the thread by those against the suggestion, it was very truthful, and from the heart, therefore it is very respected and appreciated.

Keith's suggestion of a single run for me outside of the LE would be a gift from God and EBMM, really, and truth be told, it would be appreciated, and I would be floored if that were to happen. However, my luck of that happening is just about as much as my finding a lottery ticket on the ground worth a couple hundred thousand dollars. That, and I just wouldn't feel right with "being the favorite" and/or creating dissent because of an action like that.

It seems that koogs and I are on the same wavelength on this issue, not to single him out, etc. but at least to show that I'm not crazy (or that we BOTH are, one of the two! :D) -- we'll see how it goes. I am prepared to go forth with CBP, as before, but you never know how things can unfold in 2 weeks.

Thank you again for your honest, non-biased opinions; this here describes perfectly the kind of people that we have on this forum (from both sides of the fence), and it is truly an honor to be hanging with such great folk. :)

Feel free to keep them coming!

Wow! This poll is really heating up!!! It's neck and neck so far. These polls are not only entertaining, but important, because they give the EB honchos making the decisions good incites into what their loyal cusomers really want, like or dislike.

Although i personally don't care for the color i voted yes. The more options for users i believe the better.......That cream color is big with fender users so lets steal em away lol.

I'm proud to say i broke the 21-21 tie lol

ernie1966:

in·sight
Pronunciation: 'in-"sIt
Function: noun
1 : the power or act of seeing into a situation : PENETRATION
2 : the act or result of apprehending the inner nature of things or of seeing intuitively

in·cite
Pronunciation: in-'sIt
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): in·cit·ed; in·cit·ing
Etymology: Middle French inciter, from Latin incitare, from in- + citare to put in motion -- more at CITE
: to move to action : stir up : spur on : urge on

:D

Now, let's use these words in sentences:

While I created this poll with a personal reasoning, I also envisioned the benefit that it would provide EBMM to get insight of a portion of the customer base and their take on whether or not to give consideration of Buttercream as a standard color.

I am glad to see that this process has been peaceful, informative, and has not caused anyone to incite any harsh stances, or make any rude comments.

Sorry man, not trying to pick on ya, just saw your comment, and wanted to clarify the difference of the wording, so as not to mistake my intentions. You expect me to pick on people here anyways, and if I don't like you, I don't pick on you...consider yourself well liked, buddy. :)

Jon:

You're so rude, dude...but that's why we love you. :) I know you were kidding, bud, but I want it on the record that I spearheaded this for my sake and EVERYONE that would want BC's sake. You all know that I would want it, koogs would want it, (insert screen name here) would want it, and so on...it's all about the people. man...after me, of course. :D

And again (for the record), the "attempt" to suggest my one off was unrehearsed, uncoordinated, and unabidgedly offered up by Keith. Again, sentiment is appreciated, but I wouldn't partake of it unless everyone could partake of it as well.

Pete:

This is why I'm moving now, so that if I was given, by the grace of God, the ability to change the minds of the powers that be, I would hope for it to be done and in stone before then moving forward with my commitment to you, good sir (it's already there, mind you, but you get my point!) -- give me that 2 weeks, huh? :)

IRC, in the thread that I put up next door, Dargin posted that you can order an LE with a maple fretboard...this brightened things up a bit, and I'm wondering if this "movement" led to that posting. Whatever, I'm not taking credit for it...but this makes the outlook on this a bit brighter. Thanks Dargin for the heads up on that info.

Again, the unbiased and honest responses are appreciated...keep on keepin' on, y'all. :)

Since this color is offered by Ernie Ball Music Man, shouldn't we be voting to change the name to "ButterBall?"

I was just thinking how amazing it would be if Darrell used his super powers for good.

I must admit that Darrell did get me and get me good. I deserved it. Even though I don't correct anyone out loud (in the forum's case, in print), I usually roll my eyes when I see people using it's instead of its or you're instead of your. I'm glad Darrell called me on my slip-up, I should have caught in in a re-read before I posted(I also shouldn't have finished that bottle of wine before I posted!)

On the relevant side, it looks like the Yes-men are pulling ahead!
