Series/Parallel is the one I really like.

In a SSS guitar I like the "add neck pickup" to whatever the 5-way switch is set to. That way you can get that bridge/neck sound or the all three pickup sound.

I don't see Blow/blower switch on yer list (sends full bridge pup straight to output, bypasses all other circuits regardless of settings...like having the bridge pup wired direct to output)
I've done this, along with the add pup and the series/parallel on different gittars.
All depends on what you want / what's missing for you.
*fwiw, I really prefer using S/P rather than coil splits since I discovered it....

I agree with this!!

After weeks of loving the Area 61 in the neck position I finally decided on the Area 58, with the 61 in the middle. Great pickups, I'm really happy with my decision.

I went with the series/parallel switch for the humbucker, but I really don't use it. I may just use it to switch the neck and middle pickups in the 5-way switch.

Anyway, here's my review of the pickups. No sound samples, alas, for reasons explained in the article. Enjoy, I hope you find it useful, and thank you everyone for your input!

Hey, not trying to hijack your thread, but I just wanted to lob in a comment about the Area pickups. I have an area 67 in the slant position of my Morse and an Injector in the single position. Not only are they quiet but where they really shine in this guitar is when they are combined with others. Just wanted to add that if anyone else is thinking about trying out these, I think that you'll be more than a little surprised! Now I just gotta fina a home for this Area 61 I bought off CL....hmmmmmm

Interesting mod I saw recently on an Axis Super Sport: The push/pull knob cut out the Tone knob, so he could have an Axis and ASS. Not sure how truly useful that would be, but definitely interesting.

Oh man, now I've got to get the laser mod on my PDN ASS. That would look awesome with the sparkle. :)
