Green Guitars. Guess the first color to be discontinued in the classic series? You got it. Mint Green. Sea foam green to some of you. The most requested color on the forum. THat and coral pink are the two worst sellers in the series by a mile...or two.
Noooooooooooo! I'll have to stock up, it's my favourite colour. My second fav colour is coral pink.

....The JP/Axis scale length difference (amongst other factors) will always be an issue.

Slav...the scale length is exactly the same the neck pockets are different

.... Also cleared up is the Luke and Axis having the same exact scale lengths but different neck pockets....

Straycat, just to clarify, I took it that BP was confirming that the JP and Axis had different neck pockets. The JP being neck wider and sporting 24 frets, but the same scale length.

As beej has testified, the Luke and Axis do have interchangeable necks, with same neck width at heel and 22 frets.

I could be wrong, but that's how I took it?

yeah youve got it
if you put an axis neck on a jp body the dist from nut to bridge would be approx 24.5" , whereas the frets are still distanced for 25.5"
no frets would be in tune :)

They all have the same scale length, nut to saddle. But you've got to match 22 and 24 fret necks, or you'll change that.

For the 22 fret necks ... the Axis and Luke have a slightly smaller pocket than the AL, Silhouette Special, etc. so you can swap them with no problems.

For the 24 fret necks, pretty sure the Petrucci and Silhouette have different pockets, so you wouldn't be able to.
