Geez...tough choice..as I'm jonesing for the Bongo..

I've done exactly that and went for the HH Ray. The versatility of that extra pickup makes it a no brainer for me...I mean you get two basses in one. If the Bongo was in Las Vegas gold, well then there would be a problem. To me is the harder question would be HH or HS...yeeshh..don't ask, I have work to do!

Cheers,
MK

Bongo...

One word: ATTITUDE

It is infused in the look, the feel and the tone.

(And do yourself a favor - throw a 'p' in where available - you won't be sorry!)

I said Bongo H. I don't really do 4 stringers any more but getting bongo is like owning root.

I chose Sterling HH cause the Sterling is my fav bass of all time (raw angry mids, grrrr), but I keep finding myself with a Bongo in my hands when I'm at the local GC.

IMHO you're going to get more bang for your buck with the two-pickup Sterling than the one with a single-pickup.

It was the Sterling HH for me. Based on my old SR4-HH from '06, it had a nice warm tone with punch.

Damn, I miss that bass!

Of those choices, I picked the Bongo 4H, as I already have a Bongo 4HH and a Bongo 4HS, so that would give me a full set. Plus, I don't really like the skinny Sterling neck, as I have gorilla hands.

A single-H Bongo is capable of slapping you backhanded across the face, yet also able to gently apply the topical anesthetic afterward while making soothing sounds.

Just change your hand position and tweak the controls a bit. Ain't nothin' like a Bongo bass.
