It's kind of funny I dont think very many folks USE the mutes, we just like the look of them, and the subtle change of the tone that the extra hardware causes.

I find this post real amusing, AtomicPunk:)
A brand new SR5 is pretty much the same as an 1987 model, so a classic wouldn't be nearly as much fun as the SR4's based on the 70's Stingrays...
well except the fivers used to have a different nut, different neck finish and pickups than they do now.
And as we now know, the classic 5ers are like no other stingray 5-er that existed before (except maybe the sub?)
