Porcupine Tree Bongo Badness

I know I'm late to the party - but I "discovered" the band Porcupine Tree this past spring. Bought the outstanding concert video, Arriving Somewhere from their Deadwing tour. What was this modern looking bass this fellow was playing -- and that sounded sooo good. My research determined it to be a Bongo. Huh? So, off went the Warwick to ebay and soon to arrive was my first MM, a Bongo 4. What a great bass!! I post this because Porcupine Tree has just released a new CD and are touring -- I got to see them 2 weeks ago. Recommend all Bongo heads to get the Arriving Somewhere DVD to see reference work for the Bongo sound, live. I recommend the song Mother and Child Divided for fun fun prog rock excellence.

I dig Porcupine Tree and have been listening to them for a few years now, and really like their In Absentia album.

Saw them play in Toronto 2 weeks ago. Awesome. But sadly, he wasn't using his Bongo...

Big PT fan here, it's my all-time favorite band.
Colin Edwin is one of my favorite bassist, the DVD probably pushed my GAS to the point I bought a Bongo
They performed in The Netherlands yesterday evening, I couldn't be there though.

Yeah he's using Wal and Spector basses now.

Sadly he has switched to, Spector and EBS amps and cabs.
But still puts EBMM strings on his Wal fretless.
Maybe a ebony stealth Bongo would change his mind?

Seriously, someone needs to pick his brain and find out what his issues are and solve them??
