I've pretty much guaranteed this guy I'm going to buy it, but I thought I'd run it by yall as well. Mystic dream jp7 without piezo for 1500 insured and shipped. Have I scored a good deal? (guitar has less than 20 hrs of play and has never left his house... so no chips dings or anything)

I wouldn't go any higher in price... maybe offer even a bit less. If I was buying, I'd need to know what options it has as well as the build date -- if it was pretty old I'd pay even less regardless of the "low playing time".

Yes matching headstock I don't think its too old it has the custom wound bridge pickup right before they switched to the dsonic) although he is going to install the dsonic for me. I think that would put it 3-4 year range. Case lining is red. Honestly I think its not a bad deal, its right at the limit I want to spend on my first 7 string and jp's are the best 7's so thats why I am leaning toward the purchase.

Well as for the pickup I may install a crunch lab eventually (What are the major differences), because the dsonic is included at no charge instead of the custom wound. I have already agreed to the 1500 so I'd hate to try to talk him down after I told him I would buy it for that.

the crunch lab has more (wait for it...) Crunch! the D-Sonic has more grind. more mids and treble. but the Crunch Labs treble is alot more open and pretty.
