Hello Kids

Wow 15K. Catching Jack but dont let him know.

I would like to take this opportunity to please regroup a little.....In a perfect world I would love it if:

You didnt armchair mod...

When someone specifically asks me a question...please let me answer. When I answer please dont start an argument. Like the Plek thread. THey are too expensive for us because we need too many....it should have died there.

You were welcoming to a newbie even if his thread is as old as Dargies jokes.

Try to understand that when you use this forum to joke about sex religion and race that the only people who suffer is the people at Ernie Ball Music Man
The poster doesnt lose the customer or get the emails...we do.

Try to not get upset if you post pics of other brands and they get deleted

Try to not give advice other than contact customer service when someone wants you to fix their instrument sight unseen.

I know this sounds negative but the tenor has been changing a little and we are losing some great people including me.

Lets be friendly and understand that Fanboi is one of the dumbest comments you can make. Thats why we are here.

It's funny I've been here too long now, but I get the impression I can now spot the car crash threads, 99% of which I just stop reading - the off topic prefix helps, but it sometimes gets annoying when there's so much off topic stuff that you have to chop your way through it to get to the good EBMM stuff, but then I'm a fanboi!

Yeah. I now have a far more selective filter when it comes to deciding which threads I'm going to read. Nowadays, it pretty much is limited to things coming from EBMM. As much as I am happy for people when they get a new EBMM, I still can't quite bring myself to read and post in ALL of those threads. How many times can I say, "Hey! Congrats! That's amazing!" or some variation on that theme. It's kind of sad. I'd like to support the forum more, but one only has so much time. So, I have cut back a lot of the time I spend here, increasing it around NAMM time.

I just did my good deed for the day & helped out a newbie.

As for NGD threads, I don’t think I have missed one yet. I like to offer words of support & praise.
I don't say one word replies like “congrats," “sweet” or “nice”. I like to say a few words of support for my fellow brothers.
Maybe its just me, but I appreciated everyone who just posted on my NGD thread.

The forum seems to take on a sinister side from time to time. sorry i haven't posted in a bit. I broke my right hand so typing is a bit hard one handed.

Great post Pops....looking forward to the next 15,000.

BP congrats on being able to handle the BS that comes and stick around for 15000:) And your statements are dead on, I myself as most have been quilty of all you mentioned, I know try and sit back and enjoy the ride.

Rob, totally agree with you excep I do like to hang as often as time allows and always enjoy NGD threads, but I do filter what thread I will respond to alot mor now days.

Now lets have some fun:D

Wow that's a lot of posts ... just when I think I've been here a while, I feel like a total newbie.

It is a great forum, and as with any forum there's an ebb and flow. Most of the time things are cool, occasionally they're heated, sometimes just plain weird ...

We're all here for the same reasons- because we love EBMM instruments and the people that make them. I try to keep that in mind as I'm reading and posting (and I read everything ... everything).

Here's looking forward to another 15k posts Sterling!

Thanks, BP. As a noob I have felt a bit apart-from instead of a part-of b/c of some of the members posts and threads that are a bit derrogatory - thus I sometimes won't post a response to a topic for fear of how it will be responded to.

Life's short. I don't have time for that.
