For instance, how do you get warm and thumpy Motown?

How could one get cold and surgical Tool type sounds?

Acoustic flavours? Jaco? John Paul Jones?

Other sounds?

Solo the neck humbucker and roll off some high for that Sam Roberts vibe but aside from that.... everything at noon and tear the roof off the dump! :p (except the volume, that should never leave 11, not 11 o'clock but rather the "volume goes to 11", 11....)

Funny... As a teenager, I lived by "Loud, fast, rules!". Painted those words on the back of my jackets. Folks who had to ask just didn't get it.

25+ years later I've slowed down a bit... But still love it loud! ;)

funny ... about a few months ago i realized that playing slow is an option. it NEVER crossed my mind before. i love how it took over a decade for that to settle in.

like u said, im not planning on giving up "loud" any time soon
