I had my mouth all set for a green Bongo but after hanging with Jack today I'm rethinking my options, mainly because I'll already have 2 killer Bongos (the MG and Stealth) and a 30th Anniversary SR by the time these Dargie's ship in Nov.

After playing that blue sparkle Sterling today I'm thinking...................

A double HB Sterling in Logan green. Yep. That's what I'm thinking. ;)

It's a Bongo 5H/S for me. I was torn between that and the single H I eventually ordered. Of course, I'll have to sell one of my kids.

I'll sure miss her.

Well for me it could be a neikked Bongo5 H.....but as they will not be available here across the pond, the only green thoughts of mine are jealousy.....

(BP are you open to bribes with a seriously decent bottle of single malt, perhaps a Macallan 15yo Fine oak or something similar?:D )

ROB They will be available overseas if your distributor and dealer read the forum. We are not going to publicize it other than on the forum. i need to train these people....I try and try to get them involved and they all think it is a waste of time overseas .

I *think* the swedes from EM Nordic reads this forum, and if not I'll make sure they read about the Dargie Delight:)

Ok no worries BP - Strings and Things are great guys and my drummer's little shop (which managed to get my SR5 HS before anyone else over here) is pretty decent too.
All I need to know is when the shooting window is open.:D

Name schtick aside, I happen to like most shades of the color green and think the Dargie Delight is one of them. I also happen to like somewhat unique or "just a bit different" equipment, hence my current collection of guitars etc.

But if I do jump into this pond, my question is what paddle do I go with. I am not a bass player (I'm barely a guitar player) but to own a limited run, quality instrument, in green, to play and enjoy is intriguing and I'm seriously considering it.

My first thought would be the single H Bongo based on the design and ravings of BP. But the SR is the classic and Sterling may be the most guitar player friendly neck. Since I don't have a particular sound that I'm after, any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and 4 strings is more than enough thanks

I say stick with that! The body shape of the Bongo makes the colours really jump out, and you also get one hell of a preamp! Not that the SR preamp is bad, but the Bong is Smokin'!

I think you'll be fine. My guess is that they simply have to set up a color code for the option and determine a price. Unless you are looking for a dual pickup Sterling, or Stingray, you should be fine. Of course, I don't work for the company, and have been wrong before....
