Sub1,

The product: Drumkit From Hell Superior

Go here:

They have a forum too. Excellent sample library! I program all my drums through Motu's Digital Performer 4.6 using ToonTracks sample library through their plugin and trigger all the sounds through my master keyboard - aka "finger drums". Very time consuming process but once you get a system down and learn how to play like a drummer it becomes much quicker! I'm getting a lot better with it but I still have a lot to learn as far as the "feel" of a drummer. Check their site out.

Mark

Ah Mark Moore...excellent stuff dude. Have you checked out the trigger finger yet? It makes some drum programming a snap...I actually find myself in between the keyboard and the TF for some stuff lately...as in keys under left hand, TF under right...I'm thinking about adding EZ Drummer when it comes out because of the demos I've heard the drum sounds are great and it's about half the price of Superior (I have DFH2 and the samples in Logic Pro 7)...rock.

OrangeChannel,

I was actually thinking about Trigger Finger a while ago. I'm gonna look into more now since you mentioned it.

Thanks man,

Mark

Hey NorM, I just received your CD, thanks for that. I will have to get the song titles off you later. If anyone likes instrumental rock with Music Man guitars all over it, I'd be talking to NorM now. Thanks NorM I've listen to it twice already.

Antoine, all of your tracks sound great!

Threeminutesboy, I couldn't play your song.. the site indicated that you're out of bandwith when I tried to download it. And when I tried to just play it, the player window opened but the song never loaded. Maybe because of the bandwidth issue again?

Très sympa

Le son est très bon. Vous avez enregistré en studio ou c'est fait à la maison ?

Oh, I speak French  Sorry for our friends who don't speak french ...
Well I just said that I like the song and that the sound is very good.

Hasta luego

Thirdpole, man! I friggin' loved the mood/style of that tune.. kinda evoked the music from the spaghetti westerns in my mind, for some reason. I'd love to hear the whole track sometime.

Thanks Steve, i appreciate the kind words. Full version will be available after final mixdown of the whole album in early April.

These are some clips from a cd project I'm working on with my friend Bob Oakman and some other guest musicians. These aren't from final mixes, but they have a decent overall sound so far. I believe all the guitars on these are Ibanez save one Godin acoustic and one Tom Anderson Droptop. All EB electric and acoustic strings though. :) But we're recording some other pieces that include my EBJP7.

Threeminutesboy:

Thanks for re-posting the song. That's about as clean a performance as you can ever hope to capture with a recording! Great job.

I think all the tracks sound very 'up-front' and mostly in the center. The only thing I would do different is I'd add some reverb in various amounts to certain tracks to give the song more 3-dimesional, 'z-axis' sort of breathing room.

Sweet guitar tone and I sense that the parts were played with a lot of 'feel'.

Oh, great! Another ringer on this forum! You guys are going to make me want to quit playing! Really enjoyed your tracks. I believe I detect a little Vai influence? :)

Well, I went in with high expectations 'cause you seem to do guitar for a living..

But wow, man! You've got your chops down, from the flamenco styles of Strunz & Farah to Yngwie lines over kickin' rhythms!! Very, very impressive my friend.

Oh man, don't go in with high expectations from me.  Bob makes me sound 1000% better and he and I work really well together on stuff. But thanks a million for the comments.

Once I get done with work here I want to listen to some of these clips! I've heard Jeffrey's stuff which is awesome, but I'm anxious to listen to more.
