hey colin,
what a good idea to honour this guitar!

Thanks for posting the pic Joe. The Y2D is awesome and the other picture thread is too hard to find any Y2D pics. Hopefully Beej, SteveB and the others will repost their pics too.

Hey guys! These pics are beautiful.

I have one on order, but just put the order in at a local store. Do the Y2Ds all come with either flamed or quilted tops? I didn't specify which grain in my order, but I can easily call back and have that declared.

I am ordering a De-Purple burst with Floyd and can't wait until it gets here. My only slight concern about the guitar since I have never played one is the Vol. knob placement, since I am an "anchor" player... that is, I anchor my pinky to the guitar when picking. I hope the knob doesn't get in the way when I play it.

I think the beauty of these guitars deserve their own thread. I'll start with mine and hopefully others will follow.

One day, I will buy one just like this. Just give me a year or two. Is that the premium top?

What Color is this ???

It's also called the "I'd like to punch Pete in the face for making that photshop picture becasue the first time I saw it my heart skipped a beat and I got overly excited" color.

You know what? Every time I see a Y2D in any color I say yo myself, "Self, that is the best color of the three, you need to get one in that color!" They are ALL just gorgeous, no matter what the color or maple figure. Just amazing.

I am proud to say that I have just joined the Y2D owners club. So new I haven't had a chance to plug it into the 'proper' rig yet, let alone take any photos. I will hopefully get a chance next weekend.

Very nice pics so far BTW, especially the photoshopped one!:D

Translucent grey with gold hardware? That would have been my first choice if it had been real.

Oxford Guitar Gallery. My first visit there and a very fine shop it is too!

Apart from the Y2D they also had a JP, a Luke, an AL and an Axis Sport in stock and on display. Well worth a visit if you're ever up that way.
