You know what would be awesome? If EBMM actually had something similar and required you to view it in order to successfully subscribe to the forums! Kinda like a EULA, but different (people can just skip over those).
So what I was thinking was to put the link to the next step in the registration process at the end of the Flash animation so new comers would actually have to view the whole thing! Of course, someone could just do something else, divert their attention, and return when the animation is complete, but then they'd be an asshat.
Note: Patent pending.
