Hi everyone.
I was wondering if anyone had a source for the power transistors in the HD-500 bass amp. They don't seem to be in production any more and are kind of a strange transistor to use in a power amp. They are Toshiba GT20D101/201 pairs and these are neither bipolor or mosfet, they are IGBT's. I cannot find anyone online selling them and I need one of the GT20D101 transistors to repair my HD-500. It's a large paperweight if I cannot find the part as the transistor is shorted.
Any help you can give would be awesome.

Thanks
Scott

I suggested contacting Markbass since they were the original manufacturer. But hopefully someone will have some ideas.

I had the same problem mate, got the transistors off ebay(around £ 16 each), I think the shop was called Dialec on ebay.
Good luck,
Paul.

Here's a wild and crazy idea ... how about calling the amp's manufacturer? (that would be us here at EBMM )

We have the parts. 805-544-7726 or 866-823-2255 I think the part numbers you need are W05108 and W05109.

The manufacturer? No way. :D
I hear those parts need to be made by elves.
Kinda like the ones that make cookies.
