How often a day do you guys sit down with your guitars?? How `bout you Luke, how often do you practise??

If I don't have a gig or am not recording, probably 6-8 hours.
On Session days or Gig days 2-3 hours

I'm lucky if I get 90 minutes in a day. Usually I'll play for 15 or 20 minutes in the morning before work, and maybe an hour in the evening when I get home. sometimes more, sometimes not at all.

If I'm not working on a <ahem> project <ahem>, I'll usually play a few hours a night when I'm at home- couple night a week. Of that, probably an hour is serious practice time and the rest is noodling.

If you can call what I do playing, I shoot for, if I'm lucky 30-60 minutes of stuff.

Koogie, I wish I sucked half as bad as you think. Man you can at least play.

Let's see.....I'm a stay at home dad with a 2+ year old and a 2 month old.......what's a guitar, again?

Seriously, I haven't had any time to play since the young one was born. I have forgotten what my beautiful amp sounds like.

I pick mine up to jam with my band one night a week. On a good week, I'll get to pick it up another night or two for a half an hour or so. I haven't really 'practiced' in a while.. I practice our original tunes more than technique. I'd like nothing more than to be able to play for a few hours a day, but that's out of reach for now.

I wish I had time to practice. Being married with two kids takes alot of time. I usually doodle for 15 min in the am when I get home from work. I get the kids fed and off to school then I'm off to sleep. I'll wake up a little before dinner to help with homework and clean up the kitchen. 3 nights a week i coach my son's soccer team. By the time stuff is done and the kids are in bed, it's off to work again. Sometimes I will get to noodle for a bit before I leave.

I suck, but I have a damn good excuse!

Yes, I'm married with two kids also. A 3.5 year old girl and a boy who will be 2 next month. Life gets a little busy.

I play an awful lot..

Anywhere from 4-5 hours two to three times a week at band rehearsal and probably around 1-2 hours every day.

Whether I'm actually practicing anything useful or not remains to be seen (I'm a horrible noodler ).

I probably sit down and actually work on technique and hang-ups once a week.

Steve, Al & Norrin, I'm living the dream. My little ones are 7 and 4 and they keep me going until 9 - 9:30 every night. I get Thursdays off to go golfing, but looks like that's over until next spring.

They are completely worth it and won't trade them for anything.

I am married with a 10 year old daughter....they keep me busy. I have the "luxury" of only getting 3-4 hours sleep at night. Once they go to bed, I jump on the guitar with headphones on a play.....

GW....those are kind words, but, I still wish I could "play"....however, with my time now, I get in loads of practice! Believe me, I need it!

365 days this year...

I never practice, which is why I suck. Since I've been kinda occupied lately, my guitar hasn't even come out of the case for a month. My callouses are almost gone, next time is gonna be painful.
