Perhaps the serial should be B012865...you have too many digits in the number you recorded.

That would make it a circa 1979. 1000 Pounds does seem a bit high for its condition.

You could probably do better with one from Ebay but, if buying from overseas, then you still have postage and import duty to worry about. And of course, you wouldn't be able to try it out before you got it.

Will the seller negotiate?

Thanks for the input. Well, no, the seller won't negotiate, that's the problem. But the ones you suggested on ebay are very tempting
except the first one lacks the original bridge
and the second one says he always gets negative feedback.

Perhaps I'll delay the purchase(of a Pre EB) for a week or two. Firstly, I'm waiting to receive money from a bass and an amp I sold, and secondly just in case sth better appears on Ebay. As for the one I initially went for, I doubt that it will be sold during that period.

The brown one is a better bet. Its probably a '77 and not a '79
The missing bridge and volume knob is not too dramatic especially if the price remains low. You should be able to get these parts from EB or on ebay.

The other one is not too bad either. What problem about negative feedback do you mean ?

Some one has added another '79 to the list - check the price
