Pre EB sabre

Hi, is there any chance someone has an approximate build year and valuation of a very nice Sabre natural with maple board.
Little wear of any kind. I love the Sabre tone but don't want to dig any deeper than necessary to acquire one

I believe the Sabre was introduced in 1978. It's very likely yours is from that year....or perhaps an early 1979....going by these serials:

C0013xx..1979. Sunburst with Maple. Black pg.
C001971..1979. Walnut with Maple. Black pg.
C002266..1979. Sunburst with Maple. Black pg.
C003301...Neck and body BOTH dated 22 Aug 1979
C003454...Neck and Body Aug 1979. Natural with Maple. Black pg.

Rob....I should point out that Pre-EB serials, in the main, run in chronological order. However, every now and then, some show up that are completely off track!!!!

If you're looking at buying, then IMO, you'd have every right to ask the seller to provide the dates on both the heel of the neck and in the body pocket!....especially if the seller wants an arm and leg for it.

Price???......depends on condition....how much you want it etc.
