If I get a pre-eb SR, what kind of support should I expect from EB?
Can I send it to an authorized EB/MM Luthier for refinishing?

I think Jon will help you out as much as he can. There are still parts around that work fine in the pre-EB Stingrays.

But for a refin? You mean to refinish the body?

The factory doesn't do that. I have a guy I'd recommend if that's what you're talking about.

Yes. Due to some chunks of finish missing. I aksed about EB because, the finish and coating on my EB Ray(and all of the EB basses actually) is my favorite! It is hard as a rock and very solid-looking.

A guy named Michael Dolan does really good work. If you're interested, I'll give you his email.

Yep, Michael does great work. I just got my Curbow back from him last week.

Here's a before:

And after:

I'm very happy with the work, and the natural binding is perfect.

I'm familiar with Mr. Dolan's work but woah monkee... that's an extreme example!!!

Yeah, okay, so Burgundy Mist that looks pink in bright natural light might be a bit out of the ordinary, but that just goes to show you that the only limit is your imagination. :D

Guess it's good that it's my bass, and not yours, then, huh? ;)

I have never really liked red basses, and 9 years of that color was more than enough for me.

That is the pickup for my Roland VBass. I'm using the pickups with my Bongos now, and don't forsee putting one back onto the Curbow at this point.
