preamp help

so i mistakenly posted this in the guitar forum the first time when i searched preamp posts, so here we go again...
i have posted some pickup related things in the past weeks and now as i am about to actually do the replacement i and my luthier have made a strange discovery in my bass. it seems that my pre amp isn't a sterling like any that he has seen before, i looked for pics online and have decided that it is in fact a stingray preamp inside my sterling. i would just like for someone to help to determine if it is or not. this bass is one owner since new in 93 and the wiring looks all off for a sterling pup and preamp. it is a 3 coil pup, and as of now i am confused on whether i should wire it as per a sterling preamp or a stingray. any help would be appreciated.

Looks right to me, that's an early Sterling preamp and a typical Sterling 3 coil pickup.

ok if so can you or anyone else tell me what the blue and yellow wires are and why they are soldered to the 3way switch and not the board?

you have a very early Sterling...your expert was wrong. enjoy the conversion and save the original parts in case you sell it in the future as there are pople who would love that early of a sterling

Is it possible to get a shematic for one of these old preamps. My pre seems to be the same, but the Pickup is a little different. I've got a blue and red wire from the phantom-coil and black, white, green and orange from the humbucker (from bridge to neck). The Ground is bare.
