Again guys I am posting this!!

I think my preamp have problems!!

Today, I was recording my bass for a new song that I am composing, then I heard this squealing noise!! Also, when I connect the 1/4 line to the bass (the line is already plugin in the amp) the sound of the bass do not come instantly, it comes with a fade, from no volume to the volume of the regular bass sound. Is this normal? never happend to me before.

I continue to play, and then again. Actually I have those horrible sounds recorded.

IS this are preamp flags for tech support and service?

At some of our rehersals, I heard those squealing noises, but, for me a that time I think was a preamp tube problem.

Also, some times, when I connect the 1/4 cable to the bass and amp, there is no sound. I posted this before, but take out the battery and check the contacts resolve this issue, as per suggestions of this forum and mike form tech support

This is a new bass, and I take care of it very well. At some times I think not to get a back up bass, but with this problems, I might have

Any help please
thanks

It could be a preamp problem. In some cases, when a preamp goes bad it can make a squealing type noise. I want to add here, that it is impossible to diagnose an electrical problem via email or the forum. I would suggest either sending it to us to evaluate, or taking it to a competent tech for evaluation.

Keep me posted on how it goes.

Send the whole bass, not just the preamp. Call 1 866 823-2255 and get a return authorization number, then ship it to us.

it is normal, that, when I connect the 1/4 line to the bass, the sound will come as a fade?

After we talk over the forum, I remove the battery compartment, because the squealing was more and recurrent, at the point that when it happpend, the volume drop until not to hear it, and then, it will come back again, I check the contacts of battery compartment, and pushed towards the battery terminals will be pointing.

Just your impresssion, because I dont have a 5 string backup bass :(

thanks
