I took couple of these from the JP clinic at Petes store. I took them on purpose without flash to get the most accurate color which is towards the light source of the store. I wish I would have taken a 3some of the JPs he had in CBP, but oh well. And here is also a Fully Loaded Luke in Saphire Black, a little blurry but thats how the color looks and I love it.

I cannot tell you how much those 2 colours have driven me insane!!!
Since I've had too much time on my hands, waiting to order my first EBMM, I have studied these colours to death!!!!
I have not been fortunate enough to see these colours in person (especially the CBP), so I've been relying on a bazillion pics.

The CBP has looked almost black, it's also looked very grayish, it's also looked almost like Blue pearl!!!

The SB looks gray, then it looks blue, then it looks black!

You gotta love it, don't ya!

I think I'll just get black! :p

Yea I know what you mean man. This ios actually the FIRST time I have seen CBP in person as well, AFTER I ordered that color on the Luke. However I loved the color when I saw it, but I was not sure wether that's it since I have seen so many different representations of the color like you said. But the color on that silo is the most accurate towards where the light is, and it is a DARK color. If you're not sure of CBP Foggy I would really suggest Saphire Black, because it is Black with a SMALL tint of grey to it, because of the PEARL aspect to it. It's actually like that color on Satch's Ibanez, the darkest one he has I believe :).

Hey Pete, yea you have some really nice pieces at the store which I enjoyed looking over since I have not seen in person. I was especially looking at the Saphire LUKE and deliberating wether I should have gone with that color instead of the Carbon color. However I love the CBP and I will probably in the FUTURE get a Saphire LUKE w/ the piezo like the one you have there.
By the way Pete, after the LUKE comes I think I will be ordering a 20th Ani Silo after all, but towards the end of summer. Do you know the deadline for last call on the 20th Silo orders at all? Just curious so I can work this out financially :D.

From experience, I can say that numbers 4 and 28 above are the closest representations of CBP that I've seen in pictures, though it still must be seen in person.

Well they are ALL CBP after all, and LIGHTING is the key to how the color looks. It is pretty much with almost ANY color, but this one especially since it is dark and has some kind of mystical qualities to it. But if you look at what Foggu posted and all the different pictures of the SAME color, you can really get a good idea over all. I LOVE IT :D!!!!

I'm wondering if this colour actually varies from paintjob to paintjob?
Does anyone know if it's similar to colours like vintage sunburst in the way that it's all in the hands of the painter, and that it doesn't come out one way from a can?

I reckon you should just go ahead and order a guitar. There must be some sort of gut reaction that you have to a particular guitar. I reckon you should just --ck the system and buy one. Youll be happy with whatever you end up buying. As you are going to buy one whatever happens you should set yourself a decision date, and go with it, and it'll be dope! You only live once, as they say

I'm assuming you're talking about me! :D
No probs on a decision. I'm just being a responsible good boy and taking care of some things before I splurge for myself.
Things obviously haven't gone as originally planned, but soon though. :)

Foggy, about the color being sprayed differently, at Pete's store he had I think around 3 CBP JPs, 1 Silo, and one Sterling I think it was. From looking at all of them, the color was very consistent which is good because I too thought that it might be different. But what do you know, it might come out a tad different once in a while you know.
