I just got a reply from Voerman, the importer for Benelux. The price for a hard case is 225 EUR...Now, I understand why MM guitars are expensive and I have nothing against it, in my opinion you cannot get better quality for less money today, but I do think that 225 EUR for a guitar case is a bit too much. I feel like we are paying only for the brand, whereas in case of guitars we are paying for quality, and that's fair, I would rather pay for a Musicman then for a high-end Ibanez, because I think in the case of Musicman the price is justified, whereas in case of Ibanez I would be paying only for the brand...
Anyone thinks the same?
P.S S**t I just read my post and I sound very confusing and repetitive, my apologies for that :)

I think you should ask him to check it out once again. He might have been mistaken or something - that's for sure...
Plus EBMM doesn't set up the final price. It's a dealer responsibility. This way or another I think it's not allowed to talk about EBMM prices here on forum. It would be bad in taste to discuss about it and complain. When you buy a Mercedes every single piece of **** that you want to change costs a lot! Awesome quality = high prices. That's how this world rolls. Just my opinion, sorry...

Also, keep in mind that some of that cost is just getting it from the US to Holland. There's alot of factors that feed into that price.

You could keep an eye out on eBay, or there's a chance that someone here on the forum might have one to sell. Just keep in mind that taxes, duty, shipping, customs fees, all factor in to the price.

Buy a Hiscox St**t case. An EBMM guitar fits all snug (if its a hardtail) and they are about £65 in the UK, so they should be a similar price in Europe.

im in holland too, it it sux to find a decent dealer here. i recomend that you take a trip to a shop and haggle on the price. voerman can only tell you the MSRP (advies prijs) and it may actually turn out something like 150e (just guessing) or even less at the shop. bass connection (The Bass Connection) in hilversum is a good dealer i think. great prices on MMs anyway, extremely rare case in holland. give them a call.

EDIT: i work in logistics. don't start discussing economics where i can see it...
