Can anyone give me an idea of what one would expect to get in trade for a used EVH? And what one could expect to pay for one in a private sale? ebay has had some wild numbers lately, and the "blue book" value I got from a local Guitar Center seemed ridiculously low for a private sale ($1,000). I have a number in mind, but additional clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

what color is it? what kind of shape is it in? hardtail or floyd? does it have the original case, paperwork? does it have the sig on the headstock?

Any color I guess.

Assume it's complete with case, paperwork, sig on headstock. I know that some colors were produced in fewer numbers, specifically trans-green, black, and gold, which will influence the price. And assume it's clean: no scratches, dents, belt rash, and the neck shows light to normal wear.

Well...I paid $1800.oo for this one and it was DEAD MINT. (no fret wear, no scratches, no dents, original case but no paperwork.

I think that the quality of the top has a lot to do with it. (maybe that is just me) This is one of the nicest quilts i had seen in a while, that's why i snagged it up! Plus I have always wanted an amber quilt like Eddie's #1. :D

I think what it really comes down to is what you want. I would say that the average price for a good EVH hangs around $1200-$1800 (for a really good one)

That's what i think, maybe someone has some more input on a different angle for ya! :)
