HI Fender B,

EBMM does not set the selling(street) price. The dealer does. The dealer is able to discount off the retail as is necessary for their market. We set the retail price based on the cost of manufacturing the instrument. We then sell it to our dealer base.

An independent retailer may discount more or less than GC depending on a number of factors. The instrument may come with upgraded options. The independent may provide more service for their asking price ect.

If you have concerns over the price you paid you should discuss this with the MM dealer you bought from.

Thanks

Derek

Derek,

Since you chimed in....

Will Music Man ever post a catalog with MSRP's on their web site? Other guitar manufacturers do this, and speaking for myself, I know that seeing those MSRP's really makes you appreciate the street price!

I think so. I can't say when. I know we have talked about it.

Stay tuned....

Thanks

That would be helpful... It would at least provide a reference for "relative" pricing between models, options, etc... :)

Just a satisfied, loyal customer... Picked-up my first EBMM - a Sterling - a little over a year ago, and absolutely love it! Fretless Bongo due this summer! :)
