Last week I bought my first MM. It's a white SR with matching headstock. Since i've got this thing I haven't been able to put it down. It sounds freaking awesome even with my Crappy CRATE amp. Anyway, the problem i've been having is that I live in an apartment and love playing loud. When it starts to get too late or when I play early in the morning I play with headphones. One set going to my bass amp and another ear piece set going to my music. This worked great up until I got the SR. I started to notice how crappy the headphones were. Well I don't feel like playing when it sounds like crap so I want to buy some good headphones. The problem is I don't know what to buy. What kind of headphones have good bass? Also what ear piece headphones sound good as well? Any help would be great.
Thanks

Personally for me I use either a set of AKG HP40's (which I've had for over 7 years now) or a pair of Panasonic RP-HT455's. There's hundreds of other good headphones out there......those are the ones I have.

A suggestion for your practice set up. Go and get a small Berringer (or the like) mixer, maybe something like this:

Berringer Eurorack UB 1002 Mixer

Run everything into that and enjoy noise-free practice. I use my Mackie 1202 regularly for just that.

Might I also suggest this as well, since you might want to try going direct in with your bass instead of through the Crate:

SansAmp Bass Driver DI

I swear by this little box. It makes any bass sound better, though I'm sure that SR doesn't need that much help! It even makes my Bongo sound better....if you can believe that....

Congrats on your new SR. You're in for a long, loving relationship.

As mentioned by giddy, there are hundreds of good headsets. I use Beyerdynamic DT 250, I've been using it for years and it never lets you down -even better : Beyerdynamic DT 770. These are both a bit pricey but worth the cash ;)

Congrats on the SR by the way :D

cheers!
